Dates with Hubby!

I love it when Rick and I take the time to go out...even if it's just out to eat. This past week he surprised me one day by calling just before lunch and asked if I would meet him at Olive Garden for a "decadent" lunch. We arrived just after the lunch crowd so we felt we could take out time and enjoy it. We ordered a bottle of wine (yes, in the middle of the day) and relaxed, catching up with each other.

Then tonight, we decided to go our to our favorite restaurant, Amigo's. We ordered the "usual" frozen margarita's, queso dip and jabanero sauce to go along with the complimentary chips & salsa. then we shared a fajita dinner.














And it was doubly fun because we used a Christmas gift certificate given to me by my friend, Regina. She really went to a lot of trouble to get that to me since she lives in New York and Amigo's is a local eatery operating only in the Orlando area! Turns out she had her sister-in-law (who lives in DeBary..or is it Deland?) to go to the Altamonte location of Amigo's, buy the certificate, then mail it to her in New York. She then packed it with some other cute Mexican kitchen items and sent it to me for Christmas! Now that's a friend!


I have to add that it was especially kind of her considering that she has made it clear that she doesn't like Mexican food AT ALL, but I submit that if she went with me to Amigo's for some real Tex-Mex, she'd be converted!
